Expertly made leather shoe that is almost perfectly comfortable. Shame that without its inner sole, one's foot can clearly feel the closeness of the ground and its imperfections. Many of us who need wider shoes, we also have specially made insoles that need to go in to our shoes. I bought this item, as the maker reassured me that the insole can easily be removed and exchanged. As many therapeutic insoles are not full length, like mine, they only go from our heals to just before the ball of our feet. This leaves the feet needing an smooth, even, soft, and, at least, somewhat padded base to walk on. This is missing from these shoes. Once the original insole is removed there is only the uneven, rough and thin base without even a thin leather lining. The shoes otherwise are very confortable, if could be a tiny bit wider, at least for me. The width of a shoe, however is a ver personal thing, so I am sure it is perfect for many. These shoes are a dream if you 'only' need a very well thought-out factory included insole. They are supper comfy and supportive. I only wish I was one of those people.
