I needed a sturdier shoe than my usual athletic trainers and a friend recommended this Dansko shoe. I took the risk of ordering online (since I wear a wide size) and was pleased to discover that these shoes fit perfectly. They are comfortable, with lots of cushion in the insole, and I was able to wear them for an extended walk immediately, without a break-in period. Since they ARE sturdier than what I'm used to, they have a heavier feel than I expected, but I can tell that the quality of construction will make them last a long time - and I expect that I will quickly adjust to the sturdy feel. I can tell already that these shoes will perfectly serve the purpose for which I need them! And they are attractive, not clunky looking like so many wide shoes are. I'm very happy with this puchase!
